As the Worldwide SMC Modern Commerce Leader you are contributing to the Microsoft WW Commercial Licensing Strategy transformation, leading implementation and execution for the segment through an indirect team of 200 commercial executives and managers with the primary objective to improve our customers’ experience as they engage, collaborate and purchase from Microsoft and it partners.

You are contributing to the overall Microsoft Commercial Licensing Strategy in tight partnership with our WW Business Planning & Commercial Licensing Teams ensuring our customers interests and segment sales model are well represented and served. You are indirectly leading a WW team of 200+ commercial executives and managers supporting our account executives’ and specialists’ teams as they collaborate with partners to develop and transact solutions with our customers. As a member of the WW SMC Corporate team, you are a thought leader making our long-term vision real through pragmatic strategy execution and change management plans. You lead the execution of our Modern Commerce strategic plans and investments that drive long term impact and value to our Customers, Partners and ultimately to our business growth. The successful candidate will establish strong partnerships and working relationships with our HQ and field leaders.
Overall Modern Commerce strategy for the SMC-C segment
Lead Modern Commerce implementation and execution for the segment through pragmatic change management plans.
Lead our commercial executives’ community (roles enablement, community management & communication, transformation)
Own commercial policies implementation (empowerment, compliance, escalation) for the segment
Drive close alignment within WW SMC leadership team and Area/Sub leadership; build trusted advisor relationships.
Provide business insights and recommendations to leadership and foster sharing among communities on business execution
Identify and drive reuse of field best practices and engagement IP to drive step-change improvements.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years’ experience in business consulting, sales, sales operations, information technology (IT), account management, business development, marketing, IT field sales, or a related field
OR equivalent experience
Demonstrated track record of effective communication and partnership with business leaders at all levels within large enterprises
Proven ability to develop strategy based on market insights, voice of the customer, partner and field feedback
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
10-15 years of professional experience in Sales, business strategy/development, operations, finance or services
Experience with executing plans with large field teams
Drive change management and landing new sales models
Global experience across several markets
Master’s Degree preferred
