The microservices engineering team in Supply Chain Engineering is building a set of highly scalable, cloud optimized services to re-invent the way Microsoft does business with our customers, and partners. We are a crucial part of Microsoft Order management and Fulfillment space. Our services are key to sale Microsoft products in Microsoftstore.com, eBay and Amazon. We also empower small businesses to sale our products. We work on cutting edge azure offerings, GIT and follow Agile model for development with CI/CD. Our modern stack services are in production with DevOps model and automated monitoring/alerting.
We are looking for a passionate, talented, and innovative engineer with strong problem solving, coding and debugging skills, who has a bias for quality and is results driven. You will be working with a group of highly driven and motivated developers working towards solving big customer problems. You will help develop the next generation platform for Supply Chain engineering that will help us push the envelope in the building responsive storage and scalable services on Azure platform.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities:
Develop scalable, always available next generation supply chain services in the Core Order Management portfolio.
Collaborate closely with our partner teams in enabling new capabilities through experimentation and innovation.
Identify and investigate new technologies, prototype and test solutions for supply chain engineering and operations that optimize cost, consumption, and delight customers.
Combine broad and deep knowledge of relevant business domains with the ability to synthesize a wide range of requirements to make significant contributions to the supply chain order management services with technical excellence.
Take responsibility for technical problem solving, including creatively meeting product objectives and developing best practices.
Qualifications
Knowledge, experience and skills:
3-5 years of professional software development experience
2+ years of professional experience in C#.
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field
Preferred, not required:
Experience with Azure or AWS stack
Good experience with REST, service-oriented architecture and cloud services.
Experience working with cloud services development.
The ability to analyze problems and make appropriate decisions quickly.
Ability to drive large, complex programs and solutions.
Excellent interpersonal and group dynamic skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Inherently curious, energized by large challenges, and interested in making a significant impact on a globally scaled business.
Knowledge of working with SAP or integrating with SAP is a plus.
Strong ability to analyze and solve hard problems.
Effective team member and a good communicator.
This team is primarily located in Redmond, WA. The preferred Work Location is Redmond, WA. This role requires working within US Pacific time zone business hours and is eligible for relocation support to Redmond, WA.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a team environment, in developing and designing enterprise scale services and platforms, technical depth in cloud platforms, agile development practices. In addition, this position requires an individual who can demonstrate the ability to ensure highly resilient and scalable service designs through partnership with other members of the service team.
