This role enables initiatives and tactics to ensure increased representation, engagement and retention of employees within these communities while growing education and allyship for them. You will have the opportunity to provide strategic guidance and oversight to the structure, governance, and operations of the ERGs while building collaborative relationships with allies, leads, executive sponsors and members to positively impact the lived experience of ERG members. You will be responsible for providing coaching and consultation to ERG leaders and executive sponsors, while creating space for support, empowerment, connection, and engagement. Additionally, you will participate in the design, launch & expansion of global and intersectional programming, and own and manage core external partnerships.

Responsibilities
Thought Leadership
Provides consultation on diversity initiatives and best practices to ERG Leaders and ERG Executive Sponsors. Coaches on organizational diversity and inclusion capabilities and core & common content.
Facilitates the promotion and awareness of Microsoft’s diversity initiatives. Proactively represents Microsoft as a thought leader internally and externally in the marketplace.
Strategic Planning
Determines and executes implementation approach for ERG activities and ensures alignment with global strategy. Measures impact and alignment with broader strategy.
Builds and owns relationships with key partners (e.g., ERG Leaders, ERG Executive Sponsors) and external community partners to ensure Diversity and Inclusion outcomes are achieved and embedded within the portfolio of offerings and resources for the company.
Assesses and identifies interconnected patterns and trends across ERGs and applies best practices and understanding of business needs to partner across the team to identify and design solutions.
Influencing Change
In partnership with Communications teams, contributes to the design and implementation of communication plans for change management.
Analyzes a wide variety of data using diversity and inclusion tools and methodologies, such as competitive benchmarking. Identifies trends and patterns in data, provides insights to stakeholders, and recommends solutions to correct and proactively prevent issues. Develops and updates measures of diversity based on business needs and best practices. Monitors the reporting process to ensure it supports the business and aids in the evaluation of diversity initiatives.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s Degree AND 7+ years of relevant HR or business experience OR Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 5+ years of relevant HR or business experience OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience within HR Consulting or Employee Relations.
Location (preferred) – Redmond, WA – Microsoft headquarters or Seattle, WA metro area
