The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) finance team is looking for a strong candidate who can work in a results-driven, dynamic environment in a business area with a huge growth opportunity.
Within Microsoft’s commercial business, the Partner strategy team helps our customers with their digital transformation and cloud adoption which is critical to Microsoft’s continued success. The Senior Finance Manager will be an integral member working closely with the MCAPS GPS – Solutions Strategy & GTM leads driving insights and analysis to influence strategic direction and business decision making to accelerate revenue growth across the solution areas. This role is focused on partners across the different partner types – ISVs, GSIs, Direct and Indirect, Telco, MSP, Scale Managed, etc. of which each has varying motions and levers.
Responsibilities
Partner with the MCAPS GPS – Solutions Strategy & GTM leads as well as the EG finance / business leads.
Evaluate the health of the overall businesses and provide deep insights on the cloud transformation from the partner lens.
Partner with the GPS Planning to scope new scorecard metrics, assess evolution of existing scorecard metrics, understand data availability on the partner side, help prepare and land the targets across the A14. This would include working closely with the BGs/Partner LT to understand how to drive accountability within the business.
Lead the development and execution of partner analytics for the solution areas to influence business decision making & strategy. Core accountabilities for this role include:
Subject matter expert for consumption (Teams, ACR, etc.), cloud revenue and on prem products
Drive the development of new product/pillar analytics, including forward looking business analytics on go to market strategies, partner program KPIs, etc.
Develop reporting dashboards and/or provide insights to business on existing dashboards to incorporate new metrics and best practices.
Collaborate proactively across MCAPS – Solution BI team, Engineering finance and Field teams to evangelize trends and influence business decisions.
Ad hoc, project-based analytics to support various business initiatives.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field AND 2+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
OR equivalent experience.
