The Talent Manager will play a key role in driving and supporting the talent agenda, designing, and implementing critical talent development experiences across the company for early career talent. Given the cross-ecosystem dimension to talent management, this role will partner with HR business partners, Global Talent Acquisition, and the business in defining, communicating, and implementing, the talent management strategy for early career.
Responsibilities
Program Design and Implementation
Collects information on an assigned area of talent programs (e.g., succession management, talent movement, leadership development, talent architecture) for a business unit; uses this insight to improve program design following managerial direction and pre-defined engagement and integration strategies.
Follows direction and procedures to integrate the Microsoft cultural attributes (e.g., diversity, inclusion), leadership principles, and other talent, learning, and organizational development frameworks into talent practices (e.g., talent planning, succession planning) within a division.
Supports talent management projects for an assigned organizational group or business unit through the implementation of standard practices and procedures.
Supports execution of talent management programs by collecting and summarizing information (e.g., role requirements, skills gaps) for the implementation and management of talent management solutions; communicates findings within the team.
Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis and Application
Collects data in partnership with HRBI, performs routine analyses using talent management tools and methodologies (e.g., skills assessments, organizational diagnostics, successor talent assessments), and may interpret results.
Talent Management Consulting
Corresponds with employees and peer disciplines by answering questions on talent management solutions; stays current on company policies and procedures, as well as related laws and regulations.
Implements processes, as directed, that contribute to philosophy, strategy, and standards for how businesses respond to talent-related opportunities and demands (e.g., succession management, talent discussions) within an organizational group.
Change Management
Contributes to the design and delivery of communications related to changes in Talent Management programs/processes.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
5+ years experience in HR practices OR Program/Project Management
OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, OR related field AND 3+ years experience in HR practices or Program/Project Management.
Preferred Qualifications
4+ years’ experience with proven track record of excellent project management skills successfully managing and executing global, cross functional initiatives at scale.
Experience working with early career employees and programs.
Proven thought leadership and strategic thinking, ability to excel in a highly ambiguous environment within a quickly growing and evolving business landscape.
Strong listener and communicator up, down, and across Microsoft picking up key signals and creating clarity to drive progress across a variety of audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively across various functions in an uncertain, constantly changing environment. Taking ownership for creating clarity to drive work forward.
