Microsoft Teams is the most innovative cloud platform in computing today and Microsoft is hiring Teams Technology Specialist (TS).
Microsoft TSs main goal is to win the technical decision of customers to purchase and use our technology. You will work in a team, enabling the customers through digital transformation by leveraging the Modern Workplace of Microsoft 365 and Surface. TSs are expected to be able to both own and win the customers technical decisions, as well as find new opportunities through their contacts and work they are on for sales people to further pursue. As a TS, you work within a virtual team of technical, partner and consulting resources to help educate your customers at a technical level, demonstrate and prove our solutions, and win the technical decision allowing the team to achieve/exceed quarterly Microsoft 365 suite, Teams, Surface and OEM Meeting/Calling devices sales/usage targets in your accounts. Being part of this team will allow you to maintain and develop your deep technical expertise across Microsoft and non-Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure technologies.
Primary accountabilities for a Teams Technology Specialist:
Solution Design & Proof for Teams: Demonstrates, oversees demonstrations, presents and applies architecture patterns, proves capabilities and integration into customer environment, and drives cross-workload support for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions. Coaches team in addressing customer digital transformation and leveraging insights to align new or changing technology to customer needs.
Build Strategy for Teams: Contributes to Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices strategy development, shapes strategic win plan and tailors Microsoft messaging to audience for opportunities. Captures core competitive knowledge and delivers it back to product and engineering teams to enhance team capabilities and develop compete strategies for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva and develops compete strategies for customers.
Scale Teams Customer Engagements:. Engages with and reaches out to customers proactively and independently, searches for and uses Microsoft Teams customer references. Builds credibility with customers as a trusted advisor for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, and devices, remediates blockers by conveying impact to product teams, and leads and ensures technical wins for Microsoft Teams and adjacent technologies such as Viva.
Education & Thought Leadership for Teams: Builds own readiness plan to gain expertise in Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva solutions while acting as a mentor for Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, along with integration of other Microsoft products and services into Teams. Demonstrates Microsoft Teams Calling, Meetings, devices, Frontline Worker enablement and Viva capabilities and products to increase virtual teams’ understanding of Teams and the new opportunities.
Scale Through Partners: Engages in partner sell-with scenarios and supports partner technical capacity.

Supports partner technical capacity by identifying resources to scale and aligning with Microsoft training offerings.
Build Strategy
Shares competitive insights from customer sessions with colleagues and escalates competitive situations to influence compete strategies.
Provides strategic, technical input based on Microsoft capability at the account level to contribute to strategy development.
Tailors Microsoft messaging to audience and captures and shares customer feedback using knowledge of specific Microsoft solutions and their context in a competitive landscape.
Solution Design and Proof
Demonstrates and oversees demonstrations (e.g., architectural design sessions, proof of concept [POC] sessions) of solutions based on specific Microsoft products through initial engagements. Leverages partner/customer teams as needed to prove product capabilities and integration into customer environment.
Presents and applies reference architectures to partners or customers for their technology sets.
Expands awareness of and begins practicing digital transformation sales methodologies (e.g., challenger sales).
Education
Consumes and leverages readiness materials to expand domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.
Demonstrates new and updated products to increase internal virtual teams’ product understanding.
Participates as a member in the Microsoft tech community, attends community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc., and acts as a resource for their technology area.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 3+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 2+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience
OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of technical pre-sales or technical consulting, or related experience
OR equivalent experience.
2+ year(s) experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.
Background in Employee Experience a plus (ie. Corporate Communications, HR, Knowledge Management, Learning Management, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Search)
Experience developing partner relationships to accelerate growth and drive Microsoft’s Employee Experience Strategy
Experience with Microsoft Modern Work, Microsoft Viva, Microsoft 365 and/or Microsoft Teams platforms
