The following are core expectations of this position:
Build and execute impactful research plans that provide deep customer and competitive insights needed to impact strategy and UX.
Work closely with cross-functional product teams to develop a research strategy that includes qualitative and quantitative research studies, and ensure the right data is being collected to positively impact the product direction.
Define product direction and impact the engineering roadmap using customer data. Key to this accountability will be identifying gaps and customer pain points, as well as potential customer delighters.
Communicate your findings in a clear and concise manner to our key stakeholders on the product and design teams, and drive meaningful action based on those findings.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
3-5 years research and/or relevant experience, with demonstrated skill in collecting and analyzing human behavioral data to create impact and drive improvement into product UX in a technology industry setting
A MA/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Human Factors, Statistics, or related field, or a BA/BS in one of these fields with industry experience
Demonstrated experience with a wide variety of design research methodologies including, but not limited to: usability studies, field studies, in-depth interviews, heuristic evaluations, concept validation, user journey maps, benchmarks, competitive reviews, and surveys.
Strong leadership skills to deliver projects and customer insights within and across product teams that resulted in measurable product impact.
Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills. Storyteller extraordinaire. Strong presentation skills that persuade diverse audiences to act.
Experience with both qualitative and quantitative methods or interest in expanding your skillset through mentoring and coaching
Well established portfolio that demonstrates solid research techniques and ability to make a meaningful impact.
Strong cross-team collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
