Drives development and execution of plans for transfer of New Technology Introduction (NTI) to high volume manufacturing for our micro-LED technology displays
Works with the R&D teams to identify and mitigate technology and manufacturing risks for our microLED technologies and products
Works with internal partners to identify vendors and support vendor roadmap development for high volume production equipment
Develop manufacturing processes at the factory and drive line-qualification by working with cross-functional teams and CM partners
Work with contract manufacturing (CM) partners on yield improvement and process troubleshooting
Work with cross-functional team (R&D, HW Engineering, HW Test, Quality, and GSM partners) to drive ramp and MP readiness
Drive cost and cycle time reduction through line balancing, and process optimization
Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as and when required
PhD or Masters degree in Materials/Optics/Physics/EE/ME or related field
Knowledge of state-of-the-art semiconductor and assembly equipment design, chemical materials, mechanical and chemical process capability and challenges
Proven track record of leading process development/operations organization and supporting external manufacturing
Self-motivated, experience excelling in a fast paced CE environment, problem-solving, critical thinking, negotiation and multi-functional influence experience
Leadership qualities of the successful candidate include the following: collaboration, building and developing high performing teams
Proven analytical skills and cross-functional communication
10+ years of experience in optoelectronic devices and sub-assemblies, preferably LED device structure, manufacturing processes and packaged module architectures
Experience with display module integration preferred but not required
