Technical Program Manager, Display Systems Engineering Responsibilities:
Plan scope and feature set of programs
Create technical roadmaps for new technology development, with clear milestones and checkpoints to help with decision making
Work with a cross-functional team of Display, Optical, System, Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Software and Computer Vision Architects and Engineers to set milestones, create integration plans and identify/address potential setbacks, enabling the definition and execution of hardware products
Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of programs
Manage communication within and between internal engineering and external teams
Effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies
Work cross-functionally to develop best practices and technology development processes in a quickly-changing and dynamic environment to ensure on time delivery
Manage delivery of hardware for the development builds
Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications and validation plans
Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review
Contribute to resource planning to ensure program success
Up to 25% travel
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc in Engineering field, or equivalent technical degree
5+ years experience as a Program Manager, System Engineer, or Display Engineer managing hardware programs
Experience with cross-functional programs across hardware and software, and early product definition phase
Experience with phase gate approach to technology development projects
Track record of organizational experience, operating independently, problem-solving, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
Knowledge of program and issue tracking
Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
MSc or PhD in Engineering field
10+ years experience as a Program Manager or Display Engineer managing hardware programs
