As a ✨ Front-End Software Engineer , you will work with Product, UX, and Backend teams during the design phase, author a technical approach to building the features, break down the work into smaller tasks, and drive new features to success. You will contribute to a wide range of high-impact projects across the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure console. Daily tasks include UI development, testing, CI/CD, participating in scrum activities, and collaboration with User Experience, Backend Development, Support, Product Management, and other Service Teams.

We build tools and services for new Infrastructure-as-a-Service technologies that operate at a high scale in a broadly distributed multi-tenant cloud environment. We’re looking for hands-on engineers with expertise and passion in building User Interfaces for our customers.
While programming, testing, and operating software at the heart of OCI. You might be:
· Writing front-end code in React and JavaScript/TypeScript.
· Meeting with Product Managers to discuss features
· Working with containerization and virtualization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
· Automating lifecycle operations for your project: build, test, health check, deploy, upgrade, etc.
· Deploying and operating your software in datacenters across the globe.
· Analyzing, diagnosing, and debugging issues across a full breadth of our stack.
· Debug, maintain, and improve existing systems, with a focus on performance and reducing operational burden.
· Scaling our operations by building tooling and automation.
Participating in the software engineering community at Oracle and beyond. Maybe you will be:
· Discussing potential solutions to complex technical problems and building consensus among disparate teams.
· Designing and implementing exciting new features or services for our customers.
Preferred Qualifications
· 4+ years of experience in UI development
· Expert in front-end scripting, including Javascript, Typescript, ReactJS, KnockoutJS
· Expert in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
· Experience interfacing with backend using JSON REST APIs, GraphQL
· Experience with application state management tools like Redux
· Experience with test frameworks like Enzyme, Jest, Karma, Mocha, Chai, Puppeteer
· Strong user experience design skills
· Good understanding of DevOps and Cloud-Native Development
· Strong working experience on GitHub/Bitbucket, TeamCity/Hudson,
· Prior development experience with Public Cloud (like AWS, Azure, or GCP) tools or services
· Masters degree in Computer Science
