RN – Intensive Care Unit in the Medical Surgical Department at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital located in the beautiful Columbia Gorge in Hood River, Oregon! This is a 0.9 FTE position that works (3) three 12 hour shifts a week. This position typically works a mix of weekdays and weekends or as operation needs.

$6,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Key functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.

Required qualifications:

• Nursing degree/diploma required upon hire.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or higher within 3 years of hire or equivalent education/experience
• One (1) year acute care experience working with the patient population similar to department of hire or completion of the specialty residency located at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital.
• Oregon Registered Nurse License (Vendor Managed)
• National Provider BLS – American Heart Association (Vendor Managed)
• Provider ACLS – American Heart Association (Vendor Managed)

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
• National Certification in Intensive Care Unit
