Responsibilities:
Develop battery models from various sources of data (cell test, fleet, models)
Develop and advance algorithms for state of charge (SOC), State of health (SOH). Energy and power estimation, impedance estimation etc.
Develop early diagnostic signatures from test data.
Develop and work with software team in defining, implementing, and testing of battery controls and algorithms.
Drive product specification and features with respect to battery performance.
Requirements:
Experience in modeling lithium cells/packs.
Good understanding of physics, electro-chemical properties of lithium cells, chemistry.
Experience in developing algorithms including specification and test plans.
Experience in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, and database querying.
Strong data representation and presentation skills.
Strong communication skills.
MS or BS in electrical, mechanical engineering or equivalent fields.
Preferred C/C++ programming experience.
