Responsibilities:
Execute timely preparation of all required documentation (Bill of Lading, Dangerous Goods Declaration, Commercial Invoice, etc.) for transportation functions.
Ensure that shipping process complies with company and industry’s quality assurance standards (CI, Customs, DOT/IATA/IMDG, etc.).
Issue statistical or detailed reporting for Stakeholders as requested
Booking and coordination of most cost effective and efficient means to import/export goods within expected requirements
Process and correct miscellaneous accounting issues
Ensure the Stakeholder is provided excellent service throughout the shipment process including quick response to inquiries and problem resolution
Close shipments and filing Collaborate with system development team (TMS, MFS, WMS) to report urgent system issues when it arises and provide ideas of system enhancements.
Manage booking & coordination of most cost effective and efficient means to import/export goods within expected requirements.
Build and grow carrier/vendor relationship and maintain close communication to ensure continuous excellent support for internal customers.
Conduct ongoing analysis to identify opportunity of cost saving, process streamline, and carrier KPI improvement.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or related area or equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
3+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or logistics.
DG Certifications, preferred. If not already DG Certified, ability to attend and successfully complete DG certification course (Tesla provided).
Computer skills are required (use of Word, Excel, and Outlook programs).
Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to achieve success in situations with high degrees of variation and complexity.
Self-driven initiative to gain and implement a broad knowledge of logistics best practices.
