What to Expect
In the role of an NCM Production Associate, you will be trained on how to rework and disposition non-conforming material at any stage of the build process based on common defects and with a variety of hand tools. You will work collaboratively with the process, quality, and engineering teams to support root cause analysis on complex issues experienced by the production lines. The NCM Production Associate will be responsible for rotating and cross training between all associated areas of responsibility within the NCM scope to provide quick-reaction support alongside Process Engineering Technicians.
What You’ll Do
In the role of an NCM Production Associate, you will be trained on how to rework and disposition non-conforming material at any stage of the build process based on common defects and with a variety of hand tools. You will work collaboratively with the process, quality, and engineering teams to support root cause analysis on complex issues experienced by the production lines. The NCM Production Associate will be responsible for rotating and cross training between all associated areas of responsibility within the NCM scope to provide quick-reaction support alongside Process Engineering Technicians.
What You’ll Do
- Disposition and rework of NCM materials with a variety of hand tools while promoting a safety-first culture
- Complete tasks within the prescribed cycle time·
- Perform MES transactions as required for all non-conforming material
- Work in close cadence with Process, Engineering, and Quality to supply pertinent data to the Process and Engineering teams to support ongoing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) initiatives
- Daily use and knowledge of programs and sites including Postman, MOS, Task Results Viewer, Engineering Disposition Guides, and Investigation Portal
- Support part requisition
- Prep salvageable parts and follow MRB process for those parts to be returned to MRB cage Assist Engineering and NPI with non-saleable material containment for trials
- Work in close cadence with Production to return materials to production in a timely manner and provide first line response to in the events of defect, scrap, or data trends to help reduce potential events
What You’ll Bring
- Production associate level 2, internal applicants only
- No disciplinary actions for any Safety categories in the last 6 months
- Must have at least 6 months of experience on production lines with exceptional performance
- Functional knowledge of the production line stations
- Basic understanding of genealogy
- Mechanically inclined, experience with basic hand tools
- Computer skills (use of Word, Excel & Outlook programs)
- Ability to multitask under pressure
- Self-aware of rework times on stations
- Time management and initiative, attention to detail and high-quality mindset
