Tesla
Solar Roof Channel is a program within Tesla that utilizes B2B/ 3rd party relationships with solar and roofing companies who act as distributors and installers of Solar Roof and Powerwall. The Solar Roof Channel Project Manager role will oversee Solar Roof Channel operations, new product deployment, and program implementation across the Americas for Tesla Energy Operations as it relates to our B2B business. Reporting to the Operations Lead, this individual will drive all parts of Project Management and specifically oversee Order Processing, Fulfillment and Logistics and ensure that all solar roof channel Channel Installers have been set up for success.
What You’ll Do
o The Project Manager will own delivery of weekly, monthly, and quarterly production metrics for solar roof channel, have regular collaboration with Channel Installers and other cross-functional teams, and will oversee improvements in overall process, efficiency, cost, and quality.
o The Project Manager will interact with Account Managers, Channel Installers, Fulfillment, Service, Onboarding Specialists, Order Processing, Product Management, and Software, Web Development, Process Improvement, Sales Service and Delivery (Retail locations) and Engineering Teams.
o They will need to become familiar with several CRM/ERP internal platforms, as well as Tesla’s customer-facing web/ordering platforms, and directories.
o Support the Operations Lead and Sales Operations in tracking and achieving goals and targets provided by leadership.
o Push Solar Roof Sales Operations to successfully meet company goals around installations and after-market service.
o Work with the Operations Lead to help Manage team to achieve departmental goals by allocating workload and effectively managing resources.
o Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and training of new team members.
o Including growth modeling and future development planning.
o Represent Tesla in a professional and responsible manner when communicatingwith others both inside and outside the company.
o Provide strategic leadership and foster collaboration across the organization.
o Create and execute operational standards to ensure consistency and efficiency across the project management team.
o Leads a culture of safety using systems of accountability and recognition.
o Sets a cultural tone of excellence and fierce focus on customer satisfaction at every stage of the installation.
o Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for Sales Ops and Channel Installers to expectations.
o Collaborate and drive initiatives cross functionally with additional departments and business leaders.
o Organize and deploy new product and process launches.
o Provide feedback on areas of improvement in both technical product improvements as well as systematic program improvement.
o Drive product margin and profitability.
o Must be technically literate, have extensive experience working with CRM and ERP systems and experience working with technical teams to improve these systems.
What You’ll Bring

- Background in logistics, order processing, and fulfillment preferred, but equivalent experience acceptable.
- Experience working with B2B Channel Sales and launch of new products.
- Detail oriented, able to learn new complex online management tools and understand complex products.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred
- Experience working with large teams is preferred
- Familiarity with solar and storage products highly preferred
- Experience with developing and implementing processes to improve efficiency and quality output
- Experience using data to drive decisions and targeted problem solving
- Ability to manage day to day workflow while also owning and supporting strategic initiatives
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
