Tesla Looking For Return to Work & Workplace Specialist at Fremont, CA Full Time

The Workplace Specialist resides in the Occupational Health Group within the Return to Work group. The Workplace Specialist will be responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and maintenance of Tesla’s growing catalogue of job profiles in addition to interfacing with injured workers to establish mechanisms of injury. The Workplace Specialist will focus on the clinical ergonomic aspect of Return to Work and will be ingrained into Tesla’s production processes to determine how injuries occur and where and how transitional work can be created, and to conduct necessary assessments to support the reintroduction of potentially at-risk employees within the workforce.

Responsibilities Include

• Support Management of Change for high ergonomic risk production positions and update specific job profiles as it relates to job descriptions, physical demands, and essential job functions.
• Perform ergonomic assessments and functional task analysis to support the re-introduction of potentially at-risk employees as it pertains to ADA & Return to Work.
• Review specific injured worker job profiles and injury details with outside medical providers to support Return to Work and permanent placement.
• Develop, manage, and maintain up-to-date inventory for Transitional Modified Duty positions with applicable temporary job profiles.
• Engage with employee population and provide education as it relates to behavioral safety and health to reduce musculoskeletal disorders.
• Creation and implementation of fitness tests to assess physical capabilities of potential candidates to determine potential risk of each associate given job tasks and essential job functions.

Eligibility Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredit college, preferably in ergonomics

Minimum of 5+ years in an Ergonomics and/or Return to Work role

Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of employee personnel.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.

Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment where demands and priorities change rapidly

Experience and adeptness working in a fast-paced environment
