The Role
The Business Operations team is seeking a Sr. Associate Business Operations with a track record of strong analytical ability to help drive profitable growth across Tesla’s Solar Panel, Solar Roof and Powerwall businesses. This individual will provide critical analysis and guidance to executive teams in areas such as sales growth & forecasting, product pricing, new market entry, new product introduction, cost management & strategy. Responsibilities
Create analytical frameworks & tools to drive decision making for capacity expansion, resource allocation & cost management across Tesla’s Solar Panel, Solar Roof & Powerwall programs
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, operations & supply chain teams to plan & forecast growth in new & existing markets in the near- & long-term
Employ analytical methods to inform Tesla’s pricing strategy across its solar and energy product lines and across its geographic sales territories
Partner with teams across the business in process and product experimentation initiatives, providing key analytical support to frame, track and communicate key success metrics for experiments & process changes
Disseminate data visualization summarizing key performance indicators & insights to assist business leaders across the organization in operating effectively towards goals
Must have requirements
BS in economics, engineering or compute science with 3-4 years of work experience in business planning, consulting or other analytical role
Work experience using Python & SQL to analyze and synthesize large datasets
Experience applying analytical methods to create scalable data models
Prior experience with growth forecasting, pricing models
Excellent oral, written communication skills
Nice to have requirements
Experience in an operational and/or hardware engineering environment a plus but not required
Experience with battery, solar or inverter systems a plus but not required
MS degree in economics, applied statistics or operations research a plus but not required
