This is a hands-on project management role focusing on uncovering gaps and inefficiencies in business processes and systems, developing recommendations, and partner w IT/other stakeholder teams to implement solutions.
She/he will be a member of the Global Project Management team under Tesla Commercial Energy Business Operations team, and be the liaison of Commercial Energy while interacting w IT stakeholders and other business units. She/he will apply best-in-class project and program management practices to drive project prioritization, facilitate Go/NoGo decisions, and ensure these projects actually solve for the most pressing unmet business needs.
She/he would be an avid and passionate problem-solver, interested in developing a deep and accurate understanding of the business, skilled in removing project roadblocks, has a strategic mindset yet is detailed-oriented.
This role will co-locate with key stakeholders to ensure collaboration, at Palo Alto, CA, with frequent travel to Fremont, CA.
What You’ll Do
Develop deep understanding of business processes of Tesla Commercial Energy. Identify all process and system deficiencies to ensure the broader business teams have the optimal business processes, knowledge repository, and tools manage daily sales, contracting, order management, delivery and logistic operations.
Consolidate process improvement and automation requests from all stakeholders within Commercial Energy, perform ROI analysis, partner with IT on technical feasibility analysis in the automation prioritization exercise.
Develop and manage project plan, apply solid project management best practices to ensure the resulted automation and deliverables meets intended business purpose.
Partner with Business and IT Product Management to develop User Acceptance Test scripts, facilitate User Acceptance Test and obtain business sponsor Go/No-go decision before key releases.
Develop and manage the project communication plan; and ensure timely escalation as needed.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of consulting, project mgmt experience, product management, operational excellence with global, cross functional teams
1+ years of experience managing projects that are enterprise-wide and global in nature.
2+ years of experience w executive reporting
Consulting or Business Analytics experience is a huge plus
Experience in Sales, Sales Operations, Contract Management
Exceptional organization and communication skills
Thrive in a high-energy environment and can effectively manage change in business priorities.
BS in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain or Operations Management.
