The Lead Warehouse Associate is part of Tesla’s Energy Operations team. As a leader at Tesla, the Lead Warehouse Associate will continuously model to others Tesla standards and responsibilities, including policy compliance, quality standards, safety, and efficiency goals. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-volume and fast-paced environment, be able to communicate effectively, and possess strong leadership abilities and soft skills. They will be a self-starter, able to adapt and prioritize in a rapidly growing and changing environment, and responsible for all aspects of the warehouse, including the training and development of Warehouse Associates.
What You’ll Do
Properly maintain warehouse organization to ensure all materials are inventoried, accessible, countable, and identifiable.
Develop and adopt procedures and make suggestions regarding procedures, standards, and equipment to facilitate more safe and efficient work.
Maintain inventory records to ensure installation crews have material to meet their daily goals.
Provide employees with the necessary tools, proper training, and corrective direction.
Review and document inventory count to ensure accuracy within the warehouse.
Coordinate with other warehouses to mitigate shortages or surplus.
Complete auditable records: packing slips, pick lists, Job Closeout paperwork.
Deliver materials to job sites when needed.
Complete all required safety trainings, follow safety policies, and demonstrate proper safety protocols at all times.
Additional duties, as necessary.
What You’ll Bring
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other resource planning software.
Ability to perform repetitive duties, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time.
Must be able to handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven leadership ability and a track record as a mentor to employees.
Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success.
Open availability to work all shifts, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Must have a valid state driver’s license and must be insured Preferred Qualifications: Previous Warehouse experience. Forklift certification. OSHA 10 or 30 Card
