Team Lead, GM/Hardlines
This position is responsible for the operation of a department. An individual in this position will be expected to perform additional job related responsibilities and duties as assigned and/or necessary.
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Provides and models customer service by acknowledging the customer; identifying customer needs; assisting with purchasing decisions; locating merchandise; resolving customer issues and concerns; promoting products and services; maintaining a safe shopping environment; and appropriately representing and supporting the company.
Supports the achievement of financial goals by communicating and collaborating with other team leads and store management on business objectives; delivering daily operational guidance to teams; and monitoring inventory flow processes and service standards.
Leads team associates effectively by operating as the manager on duty; prioritizing and delegating daily workloads; monitoring and communicating team staffing needs; ensuring area processes are executed effectively; setting clear expectations; communicating goals; maintaining open dialogue with team associates; providing consistent follow up to verify workload completion; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, training, and evaluation of associates.
Maintains area merchandise presentation and inventory accuracy by leading and guiding teams in receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise; removing damaged or out-of-date goods; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; zoning the sales area; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; binning and picking merchandise; preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food to meet safety and compliance guidelines; operating and sanitizing food-related equipment; completing bin audits; working inventory exceptions; correcting shelf capacities; securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise; following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials; and following opening and closing procedures in area of responsibility.
Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; a nd assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems.
Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.

Leads Inventory Operations – Helps associates understand and apply ways to handle, move, and display goods, according to company policies and procedures and does the same in own work. Carries out the inventory process to help improve replenishment and receiving and to reduce shrinkage.
Identifies poor inventory practices and low in-stock levels in assigned area, and reports them with ideas for corrective action. Demonstrates and helps o thers with the safe and proper use and maintenance of inventory tools and equipment.
Food – Handles, stores, cooks, and cleans food according to company policy and procedures. Informs customers about food items when asked to do so. Prepares, takes, and fills orders for food items in a timely manner. Observes and reports complaints and problems with food products, services, a nd work areas. Uses food equipment and supplies according to company policy and procedures.

Work Environment
Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position.
Moves over slippery surfaces in the work area as well as other areas that may become slippery during inclement weather.
May work with substances that require special handling
Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions.
Works overnight as required.
Works varying shifts as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $27.00 per hour
