Walmart’s Security Incident Response Team protects and defends the Walmart ecosystem and business operations.
Description
This position is located in Bentonville, AR and Reston, VA. This position is part of the incident management group, which is comprised of the Security Operations Center, Incident Response, Hunt Team, Data Assurance, and Cyber Intelligence.
Applicants are expected to demonstrate a strong understanding of Network, Endpoint, and Cloud Analysis. Applicants should understand the logical progression of responding to active threats across a wide variety of vectors.
Members of this team are expected support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders. This is accomplished by attending business meetings, traveling for conferences, and participating in industry working groups. Strong communication skills are necessity for this position and the successful applicant would need to be able to provide briefings and training, advocate for automation, and meet with stakeholders to understand requirements.
Associate will need to be available for limited on-call requirement, 0-10% domestic and international travel.
What you’ll do…
As an Incident Response Specialist with Walmart, you will be responsible for responding to all cyber-security incidents in one of the world’s largest networks. You will have the opportunity to protect millions of customers, associates, and Walmart’s ever-expanding infrastructure across the globe, as Walmart’s last line of cyber defense.
This role will put you on the cyber-frontlines with some of the world’s top security experts. You will act as a subject-matter expert in various disciplines including network and endpoint forensics, and malware reversing; as well as, managing the incident response lifecycle as your team engages against advanced real-world adversaries.
The Incident Response team is a tight-knit team who work closely together every day. Respect and trust in one another are cornerstones of the Incident Response team’s effectiveness. The team is well-equipped and well-resourced to defend against cyber-threats, and uses the incident response lifecycle to reduce risks across the organization, improve security posture globally, and grow skills and capabilities of the team.

You’ll collaborate with a variety of internal business partners to ensure risks are mitigated and appropriate security measure are implemented. You’ll build an understanding of security threats and prevention methodologies by performing analysis on malicious software and providing samples to security product vendors ensuring coverage and detection exists across multiple layers of technology to improve cybersecurity defense posture.

Minimum Qualifications…
