WhatsApp is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented team player with impeccable judgement to serve as WhatsApp’s Law Enforcement Response & Safety Specialist. You must have flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and organizational needs. In addition, you must have the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, small but growing environment and work proactively with various teams across the organization, including business, product, and engineering.

Law Enforcement Response & Safety Specialist Responsibilities:

Provide LE policy risk assessment and assess appropriate data disclosure framework(s) for new features, products and legislation with data-disclosure component(s).

Integrate and synthesize relevant information from cross functional teams, including product, engineering, legal, public policy, in order to draft policies, documentation, and determine legal strategies.

Display effective organization skills and manage multiple and often competing priorities.

Demonstrate strong reporting and communication skills across all levels, for example, team/organizational updates, leadership escalations, detailed policy documentation, etc.

Draft leadership escalations related to data disclosure, safety, and/or security, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and 3+ years of relevant experience demonstrating

Experience prioritizing multiple functions and tasks while managing work time without compromising quality

Experience working independently and using judgment

Experience with various computer systems, internet technology and software (PC, Mac, MS Office, online research, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience communicating with cross-functional teams

Familiarity with WhatsApp service
