Collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers.
Drafting architecture, specifications, driving new technology evaluation and introduction.
Establishing strategic priorities for the team and products with cross-functional peers.
Making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
Building relationships with key suppliers and influencing their roadmaps.
Ensuring coordinated platform work across other Facebook hardware efforts.
Putting in place processes, tools and simulation capabilities to scale the team’s work.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years of experience in engineering management.
Experience managing efforts within Systems Engineering and Architecture domain with emphasis on Audio, Display, Camera, Wireless, AI/ML and SoC/Memory.
Experience taking projects and break them down into pieces, develop specifications, then deliver them in a manner that can be understood by development teams and management.
Experience in delivery and commercialization of consumer electronic devices (e.g. cell phones, smart home etc.).
Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated experience to self-motivate and follow through on projects.
Collaboration skills, driven by working closely with other Engineering, Product Management, Program Management, and Supply Chain teams.
Experience working with hardware suppliers.
Experience managing new technologies.
